This is a place that is all about the walled garden… everything is driven by the gardener/forager and chef – they grow and find the food – the chef then makes the menu. The Pig has great rooms to compliment the food. Created by the man who invented Hotel du Vin, the Pig’s kitchen sets itself a 25-mile limit; anything the gardener, chief forager and chef can’t find in the walled garden has to be sourced within a 25-mile radius. The style of the Pig is affluent but distressed boho (very like the Pig in the Wall in Southampton). The Pig Hotel is a beautiful 17th Century hunting lodge, tucked away in the New Forest, which has been converted into a boutique hotel with all the trappings of Soho House or the Zetter Townhouse. Arriving was like breathing out all of ones’ troubles and attaining utter relaxation instantly. .
